Contact Us

The Intent of this page is to communicate to members those tasks for which the SCOA needs member volunteers.  It is implemented as promised in the Spring CY 07 SCOA meeting.  Members potentially interested in volunteering for any listed task(s), may do so by email.  See "Contact Us" on the Navigation bar at the left side of the page.

1.  Committee's: (1) ACC, Charged with the enforcement of all SCOA covenants and development of associated penalties for violations thereto, (2) Beautification: Charged with planning, maintenance and care of SCOA entries, and other common area's such as the drainage greenbelt.

2.  Pool Work: (1) Certified Pool Operators: Mulitiple persons needed to share the task of checking chemical balance of pool water four times daily, opening and closing of the pool daily, sweeping of pool floor as needed, cleaning of restrooms weekly, setting out garbage can on pickup day and return of same next day, general pool maintenance as required.  CPO's require state certification which constitutes a one day course given by the State/County Health Department and for which the SCOA will bear the cost.  Certifications are good for 3 years.

3.  Electricians: Persons qualified to do electrical work for the purpose of expanding/modifying the breaker box in the pool equipment room.  This is anticipated for the adding of outlets sufficient to support the installation of a video surveillance system and associated AC.

4.  Automatic Sprinkler System Maintenance:  Persons with experience to repair broken sprinkler heads, and  properly relocate or reposition individual sprinklers to more efficiently water grass along the Reno green strip.

5.  Tractor with Blade Grader & Operator: Light tractor and operator needed to grade along the sloped area on the south side of Mindy Lane to assist in the removal of imbedded plastic erosion barriers, level out the surface while retaining the present slope in order to prep for planting of flora and/or grass. This is a beautification project to improve the appearance of this steet.

6.  Bricklayer/Concrete Work: Qualified, experienced person(s) to construct a  secure brick mailbox for the SCOA to be located next to the side walk at the street curb of the community pool.

7.  Greeters/Sign In Clerks: It is anticipated that the SCOA meetings will continue to utilize nearby church facilities for its Annual General meeting, and special meetings.  We need four persons to oversee the sign in procedure prior ot such meetings.  These jobs require little time and are essential to recording attendance and qualification of voters for issues to be decided at meetings.  Not a tough job, but clearly important and essential.

8.  General Manual Laborers: This is to setup chairs, tables and such prior to any SCOA meetings as required.  Includes takedown and storage following the meeting.  Good health, and couple hours time at most anticipated.
